Detox Day Spa Nutritional Coaching offers DNA Swab Testing. Swabs are as accurate as blood. Epithelial cells contain exactly the same DNA as blood cells. Genetic testing, also known as DNA testing, is used to identify changes in DNA sequence or chromosome structure.

Using one swab at a time, the inside of the cheek is scraped, inside of the lips, and/or around your gum line for at least 30 seconds. A downward motion is used as the swab is rotated.

Genetic testing can also include measuring the results of genetic changes, such as RNA analysis as an output of gene expression, or through biochemical analysis to measure specific protein output.

There are six DNA swab tests to choose from, including:

Pricing is $360 per report, the more reports ordered from using the same swab sample can be discounted. Typical blood work to test for MTHFR genetic mutations, or variations, will cost $150-$200 without detailed explanation.

There are other sites like Genetic Genie and 23andMe that can interpret results, but the results are not reviewed by qualified lab directors. Our reports are from an accredited molecular analysis lab out of Tennessee.

After a swab kit has been completed and sent back, within 7-14 business days, you’ll receive a complete and detailed PDF report with your results and recommendations.
